MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Aug 19 Observer(s): Clarkson, Bord, Aufdemberge, Vowell Institution(s): UM-Dearborn Instrument: ANDOR Worked for 2.5 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 02:00 until end. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Continued to monitor V404 Cyg at 60s in R for about 2.5 hours between about 10:45pm - 1:15am (local). Used the early interval of poor weather before 10:45pm local to conduct dome flats (and a set at a range of exposure times for linearity characterization by students offline later on). Towards the very end of the useable time interval, the varying obscuration returned(which we suspect is near the filter wheel). Patchy cloud at the beginning of the night; total cloud cover by about 1:30am; high cirrus for the 2.5h used between the two. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Aug 20 [2:20:30]
