MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Dec 17 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Templeton + buckeye FW No Observing (see comments below) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Fog all night. Observing Summary: The 2.4m observer reported 3-5 inches of snow during the day. There was fog on the mountain all day, and by 9 PM it was still foggy with 100% humidity. The Clear Sky Clock predicts clearing, but high humidity, and with all that wet snow keeping the humidity high, and some snow on the dome, I think it's pretty safe to call it a night early. I'm filing this around 9:30 MST, so I can't be certain that there will be fog all night as reported here, but I'm not going to stay up just to find out! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Dec 17 [21:30:10]
