MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Dec 20 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia U Instrument: Templeton Worked for 9.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds High End: Clear, Winds High Observing Summary: The classic N-S oscillation began almost immediately, even though the telescope was pointed north, away from the wind. Wind shake became nearly constant after midnight, when pointed to the south. Closed early because of this. Main dome slit would not close. Had to stop and start the telescope program to get it to close. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Dec 21 [3:11:30]
