MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Jun 21 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Andor direct + buckeye FW Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Almost clear night after a dubious-looking afternoon. The one issue to report was the classic nodding problem, which affected a target at about 2 h W and a few degrees positive declination. It occurs much less frequently than before Dick Treffers installed the new motor, but it has not completely disappeared. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Jun 22 [5:17:05]
