MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 May 15 Observer(s): S Hamilton, B Greaves, B Dittenber, Z Felker, M Past Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: 4k Imager Worked for 6.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, Seeing is estimate Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, Seeing is estimate End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, Seeing is estimate Observing Summary: Obtained observations for three student projects. The first was H-alpha observations of a galaxy with an AGN. The second was observations of Near Earth Objects. The third was optical imaging of Messier object 18. Weather was decent at the beginning of the night, but worsened as the night continued. Wind increased until ~1:30am. Humidity increased throughout the night, hit 80% around 3am.
