MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Dec 12 Observer(s): Thorstensen & students Institution(s): Dartmouh Instrument: Templeton direct Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2? arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Very clear at start but with a breeze, bad seeing, and increasing humidity. After an hour or so seeing got much better and RH dropped. Some thin cloud later in the night, but all told a productive night. Here with Katie Weil and a group of five Dartmouth undergrads on their winter break. They got a good look at a dark sky and the Geminids as well as seeing how all this gets done.
