MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Nov 28 Observer(s): Podjed, Stephanie Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: Templeton Worked for 13.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 2.055 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 2.38 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.36 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: For the most part, observing went fairly well. There were a lot of clouds throughout the night, especially after approximately 00:30 local time; the conditions were not photometric at all and took about an hour or so out of my observing time (had to wait for lull in cloud cover for several exposures). Seeing also not so good throughout the night. The TCS did crash around 06:00, right as one of my last exposures was running out; not sure what happened, but was able to get it back up and running quickly enough to re-set everything and finish up flats & close up. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Nov 29 [7:09:21]
