MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Oct 18 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Worked for 8.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 3.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Telescope tracking stopped many times when observing at HA = -5.5 to -4.5. Then some rapid (~10 Hz) E-W oscillation was observed, similar to what occurred in the early days of the new TCS. I did get a few good hours, until the humidity rose. Closed at 2:30am. Gave up at 3:00am as humidity is still rising. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Oct 19 [3:00:08]
