MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Jan 29 Observer(s): Podjed, Stephanie Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: Templeton Worked for 3.5 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Run was clouded out most of the night- did not see a sizable clearing in them until around 1:00 am MST. Was able to open and get data then; got bias images in at beginning of night. Camera control of autoguider was not connected at the beginning, so I just had to find the info regarding this in the manual to set it up/get it connected. Once that was established, was able to get some observations in. Clouds began coming in again around 2:30am; lost guide star completely/ was unable to find it. Clouds just kept getting worse. Waited about an hour to see if the sky would clear again and checked the radar for Sells to see if there would possibly be another sizable patch of clear sky- did not see any & Clear Sky Chart did not show any promising things for later into the morning. As such, did not open again. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Jan 30 [3:39:49]
