MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Mar 10 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock, Laura Herzog Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: Templeton Worked for 2 hours (off and on through the night) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.75 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Overcast, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: (remote from the 2.4 control room) After a good start, we shut down around 8:15pm due to rising humidity. A bit later, the humidity fell back below the limit, but clouds had built up by that point. The sky finally cleared up around 3am and Kitt Peak (temporarily) reopened, so I also tried opening the 1.3. I ended up with about 10 minutes of usable data before my guide star started playing peek-a-boo. I waited another half-hour and the clouds just got thicker before I finally gave up. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Mar 11 [4:35:15]
