MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Mar 17 Observer(s): David Schiminovich, Nicole Melso, Observational Astronomy Class Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: Templeton, Direct Worked for 10 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 8 until 10. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: First full night of observing for the observational astronomy class from Columbia University. We successfully imaged a wide range of targets (galaxies, nebulae and an exoplanet transit). Threatening clouds from afternoon thunderstorms prevented us from opening for the first ~1.5 hours.
