MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2020 Dec 16 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia U. Instrument: Echelle Direct Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: A problem-free night with decent seeing, no wind. Could observe faint targets at high airmass. There was one diagonal jump, a legacy issue. Over the years I have noticed that these frequently occur at HA = +2.0, like tonight. After the jump it continues to drift slowly in the same direction. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2020 Dec 17 [6:32:36]
