MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2020 Nov 18 Observer(s): Yuming Fu, Jiangtao Li Institution(s): PKU, UMich Instrument: CCDS Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The observation went smoothly. The seeing is poorer compared to that of last night. I used the TCS panel and slit viewer to focus the telescope and found the best focal length to be the preset 890 mil. I'm not sure if this is the right way to focus the CCDS spectrograph... After this adjustment, the widening along the spatial axis of the 2d spectra still exists (same problem of last night). Such widening does not affect the source identification but may lead the underestimation of the fluxes. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2020 Nov 19 [9:19:23]
