MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Aug 23 Observer(s): Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templton Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Testing the 1.3m image quality after last week's recollimation. My initial impression is that there are still problems, not much better nor much worse than before. One clear effect is that the out-of-focus images show clear shifts over the sky. They are centered in some positions but not in others. Like something is loose or flexing. This will be difficult to figure out. I'm willing to get some more systematic data on this tonight, if the CCD controller trouble can be fixed. It's not working now. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Aug 24 [5:38:32]
