MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Dec 12 Observer(s): John Thorstensen, Aylin Garcia Soto + students Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: Templeton Worked for 7 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Calm, left early Observing Summary: There were no issues at beginning of the night. Today we were taking data of Prof. Thorstensen's objects. Around 23:30 (after we stopped tracking) we slewed to a telescope and tried to pick a guide star but the camera control panel in MaximDL didn't allow the user to click stop or start. Prof. Thorstensen then tried to disconnect and reconnect the camera but received an error Error opening camera, camera settings incorrect. He then tried to restart MaximDL but the issue prevailed. There were more attempts on site at the 1.3m, but there seemed to be no solution. Thus we shut down early. Dewar refilled when we closed, at midnight. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Dec 13 [0:23:18] NOTE: This report replaces the previous 1.3m telescope observing report for 2021 Dec 12
