MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Oct 13 Observer(s): Keighley Rockcliffe, Aylin Garcia Soto Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: MODSPEC Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We opened the 1.3m dome around 6pm on 10/13/2021. We took some comparison lamp observations, biases, and then twilight skyflats. We were unable to get the desired amount of counts in our flats. After flats, we observed a standard star and then moved on to some high proper motion stars. These stars were difficult to find within the field just by comparing to a finder chart. Around 22:50, we moved on to observing M dwarfs for a bit over an hour cumulatively at a time (5 x ~1200s exposures). Once dawn was approaching, we retook observations of a different standard star because the first one had a weird spectrum. We closed the dome at 6am. No weather or technical issues. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Oct 14 [12:19:06]
