MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Oct 15 Observer(s): Keighley Rockcliffe, Aylin Garcia Soto Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: MODSPEC Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The weather tonight was good. We opened the 1.3m dome around sunset. We took several skyflats and some comparison lamp observations. We observed one standard star after the sky was dark enough. We observed several stars throughout the night. The Owl program that we use to coordinate our exposures would abort random exposures without us telling it to. We gave more detail for this issue in the technical issue report. We estimate that we only lost around 1 hour of observing time (likely less) because of this issue. If not investigated, this problem may keep happening during nights in the future. We were able to collect the exposures that weren't randomly aborted, so we continued observing until the end of the night. We closed the dome around 5:50 after taking another set of comparison lamp observations. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Oct 16 [5:53:29]
