MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Oct 16 Observer(s): Keighley Rockcliffe, Aylin Garcia Soto Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: MODSPEC Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing avg arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing poor arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing avg arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We opened the dome around 17:30 and started taking skyflats at 17:50. After the sky became sufficiently dim, we took comparison lamp observations and waited for the sky to dim a bit more before observing targets. We started with a bright standard star and then observed a couple of targets with a few exposures each. Then we moved onto monitoring several targets for over an hour each, with each visit consisting of five 20 minute exposures. We used the multiple exposure function in Owl 3.0. As with the previous night, we experienced the program randomly aborting exposures (two). More detail is provided in the trouble report. We did not lose much observing time. We stopped observing targets at 4:15, took another set of comparison lamp and bias observations, then closed the dome around 4:30. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Oct 17 [4:43:53]
