MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Oct 23 Observer(s): Keighley Rockcliffe, Aylin Garcia Soto Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: MODSPEC Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing poor arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing poor arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing poor arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: We took MIS flats and comparison lamp observations starting around 18:00. We opened the 1.3m dome at 21:00. The conditions were windy enough that the 1.3m had trouble staying on a target. The seeing was poor for most of the night, as well. We started by observing two standard stars, all while keeping an eye on how steady they stayed in the slit. We started observing our own targets at 22:00. A combination of the wind, seeing, and moonlight made tonight's observations a bit difficult. We closed the dome at 04:45. Then we took more comparison lamp observations and followed with bias observations. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Oct 24 [5:13:59]
