MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Oct 29 Observer(s): Weil Institution(s): Purdue Instrument: Templeton Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing ~1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing ~1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing ~1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Overall very productive night of observing with good seeing. Problem at beginning of the night with guiding and star trails north/south when pointing at HA~3:50 to the West. Justin checked the Dec drive and found no problems. The problem did not return for the rest of the night although we did not point that far west for the remainder of the night. We encountered a minor internet glitch when the mountain lost power. We initially could not get the VNC connection back but a killall X11vnc cleared the dead connections and we were able to get back to port 5900. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Oct 30 [5:45:44]
