MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Sep 28 Observer(s): Donghoon Son Institution(s): SNU Instrument: Templeton Worked for 7 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Fog from ~0am until . Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Smoke, Winds Moderate End: Smoke, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: High humid (75~80%) most of the night. Observation stopped for ~30min from 21:45 due to the filter wheel problem. Just after finished observing a target at low alt~38 in NW, Filter wheel did not work : Filter Wheel Is NOT connected error massage. The 2.4m observer fixed it by recycling the power of the controller. After the moon (phase 47) rose at ~23:30, the red-colored airglow was seen in the sky by haze. Dome closed at ~0:23am. I was waiting until ~4am. However, there was no chance to observe more targets. Because the remaining targets were positioned to the wind direction, guiding was difficult. Around ~4am, the sky was full of thick haze. I decided to finish this observation at the moment. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Sep 29 [4:57:24]
