MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2022 Jan 17 Observer(s): Aylin Garcia Soto, Keighley Rockcliffe Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: MODSPEC Worked for 5 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 00:00 until 07:31. Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Overcast, Winds Calm, humidty ~80% End: Clear, Winds Calm, >85% Observing Summary: In the beginning of the night there were no issues but I knew that I would need to shut down before 5am due to high humidity. However, around 21:00 MST clouds started to roll in and around 22:35 MST the clouds began to look threatening/rainy so I closed the telescope (KPNO closed slightly before I did). As the clouds seemed to slowly dissipate around 00:04 MST, the humidity started to grow exponentially (>80%) so instead of opening again, I remained closed (as did KPNO). It hit 85% at 00:34 MST. Lastly, I closed the shutter on owl 3.0 for the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2022 Jan 18 [0:34:17]
