MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Apr 14 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Quite a bit of cirrus at the beginning made it difficult to get clean sky flats. For the first couple of hours tracking was jumpy. Not clear why since the wind was not strong (8 mph). But it eventually settled down (on the first target) and the middle + end of the night were very good. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Apr 15 [5:24:49]
