MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2025 Jul 01 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Templeton direct Worked for 0.5 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Definitively bad weather early on, cloudy with rain around, but got better after some hours; however, there was always cloud around. KPNO was closed for dust all night, so I was a bit reluctant to open even though the dust really didn't seem that bad. I did open for less than an hour when a clear spot rolled though after midnight, but opaque cloud obscured my target after a while, so I buttoned things up again. A rather frustrating night, since I there were some stars visible nearly all the time in the second half, but with the dust and the difficulty of getting anything worthwhile in those conditions I let them go. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2025 Jul 2 [4:16:59]
