MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2025 Jun 30 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Templeton direct Worked for 3 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Partly to mostly cloudy at start, with a brief interval of heavy cloud and high wind. This dissipated gradually. I delayed opening due to KPNO being closed by dust/smoke, and due to my own fatigue, but when I woke up around 1:30 it was beautifully clear and docile; KP was still closed, but the dust didn't seem excessive to me, and horizontal visibility was very good, so I opened and got about three hours on a target. The VNC connection dropped sometime in the middle of the night, but I restarted it without any issues. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2025 Jul 1 [5:30:45]
