MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2025 Sep 30 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Templeton direct Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Beautiful night, no problems. The astronomy course finished its observations last night, so I used the night for time series photometry. I did have some isolated episodes of poor tracking early in the night near the meridian and +40 degrees -- the guide star would jump around by a few arcsec, for less than a minute. I was unable to diagnose whether this was a guider issue or not; in any case, I was working on a relatively bright star and it didn't cause any issues. This doesn't quite rise to the level of a trouble report, but it's worth noting. Winds were indicating very light. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2025 Oct 1 [6:23:03]
