MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2026 Jan 12

Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Observing Summary:

Today, the weather conditions were good for observing.We started the observations at 19:30 Bejing tine and continued until 22:30Bejing time.We opened the dome and began observations of our target.The guide star acquisisition worked well: however, after completing the exposure, no signal was visible in the images.Justin helped us troubeshoot attempt to fix this problem .During the shutdown process, when closing the prop-leaf dome, the dome closed successfully, but the slitdid not close completely and became stuck
