MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Jan 13

Worked for 5.5 hours (last half of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the summary for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 5:00p until 1:30a.
   Beg: Clear, Winds Calm, Humidity ~100%
   Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, Humidity ~75%
   End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, Hum ~25%

Observing Summary:

The focus encoder did not work. the numers on the display that 
indicate the focus did not change when the paddle buttons were 
pressed, nor did they change when the tcs interface was used.  
We had to make an exposure, examine it, guess at a new focus by 
pressing the paddle keys and taking a new image.
