MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Mar 01 Observer(s): Gavin Dalton Institution(s): Oxford Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 11.2 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.75 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Biggest feature of the night was humidity hovering around the critical threshold, so a close watch on cars/railings etc throughout the night. Seeing was poor (1.2 ) at the start, but rapidly improved to 1 and was down to 0.75 by the end. The mirror cooling PC has been reporting a dome RH of >100% since after sunset. As it is neither foggy nor snowing in the dome I believe this reading to be in error! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 Mar 2 [5:12:03]
