MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 May 24

Worked for 6.5 hours (most of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the summary for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing ~>3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing ~2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing ~2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

At the beginning of the night the last of my flats were
corrupted (a sure sign that the IE is not responding properly)
and shortly thereafter prospero gave error-messages.
Bob (still here) tried to restart prospero in various ways
including rebooting the wc and ic computers. `uartinit'
and `seqinit' didn't work as a constant complaint appeared that the
head electronics were not responding. No matter how well we
followed the manual and cycled the power on the pc's the
problem could not be solved.  In the end the problem was solved
by rebooting chichon. However, thereafter the two pc's (wc and
IC) refused to synch. It took all of 2 hours to get it online again..
