MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 May 27 Observer(s): Vestergaard Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 1 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 17:00 until 3:30. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 4-5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Thick cirrus and clouds covered the entire sky at sunset. At 1:30am it seemed to clear from the West, so I opened up and prepared to observe, but the cirrus was still to too thick in general (but variable at times) to observe and it then got worse again. So I closed half hour later. At 3:20am it started to clear and so I opened up again. The cirrus thinned and I could observe, though there was still very thin, variable cirrus. The seeing was really bad and it is unlikely that the data will be particularly useful. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 May 28 [5:13:01]
