MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 May 28 Observer(s): Vestergaard Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8. hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing >~2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing ~2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing ~1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: It was clear throughout the night, but the seeing was quite unstable during the first part of the night. Although it settled down, the stars still stayed somewhat fuzzy (no centrally concentrated psf could be obtained). At times the seeing would momentarily get worse even at the end of the night when it was generally more stable. The primary mirror warmed up to the temperature of the ambient air during the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 May 29 [5:09:30]
