MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Nov 18 Observer(s): J. Pinkney and M. Aller Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: Modspec with Templeton Worked for 7.5 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We obtained spectra for 5 galaxies over the course of the night, but periodically throughout the night we were forced to pause our exposures as the galaxies and guide stars were obscured by the clouds. We also had a problem where the PC Guider program refused to guide on a star which was off the slit. It was as if the E/W toggle was not working since the program would guide on the slit. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 Nov 19 [5:53:19]
