MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Sep 29 Observer(s): Eilat Glikman, Suvi Gezari Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: There were dense clouds at the start of the night. We began observing around 10:30 pm when the clouds thinned out but there was cirrus persistent throughout the night, making it difficult to get a guide star. The tifkam hardware failed when we began using it. The prospero window crashed and when we started it up the wc, ic, and cb were down. We had to restart the computers and reinitialize everything. After that, all worked quite well. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 Sep 30 [5:53:21]
