MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Aug 30 Observer(s): R. Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Had some startup problems with the CCDS compyters but got that cleared up before dark. The ISIT TV aquistion system seems relatively insensitive in that I can't see the slit on the dark sky. I can...but only weakly...after the moon comes up. I have turned the gain full up but can't see stars much below 16th mag. Otherwise, the CCDS is working OK. Last two hours were not photometric...clouds showed up. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Aug 31 [18:23:38]
