MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Jan 07

Worked for 13 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

Very poor seeing most of the night, with light clouds.

PC GUIDER keyboard is flaky.  Some keys are mixed up.
In particular the  s  and the  ?  do not work, among others.
We found a work-around that allowed guiding.

A rat is running back and forth through the tube between
the control room and the computer room.  (Yes, it is bigger
than a mouse.)
