MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Jan 23 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: Modspec + echelle CCD Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Bad weather during the day cleared away in the late afternoon to give cold, clear weather. Seeing was mostly bad, primary was warmer than ambient all night since humidity prevented it from being cooled during the day (it got down to about -3 C also). Winds never got very strong. Observed cataclysmics for orbital period, finishing up the run. Closing a mite early to get through the security lines at the airport. A very successful run! Thanks to everyone for their help! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Jan 24 [4:11:00]
