MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Nov 16 Observer(s): Zosia Krusberg Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: Echelle Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing >2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing >2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing <1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Bob came by early in the evening to fix the noise problem that's been going on, so the night was silent. Seeing was very bad until right before 1:00 - perhaps due to warm air coming in and the dome temperature increasing by 6 degrees during the evening - when it all of a sudden went down to about 1 .0, and remained thereabouts or lower for the rest of the night. A very productive second half of the night. On a couple of occasions throughout the night, the epoch readout on the tcs would display some preposterous number, like 3, and move accordingly. However, re-sending the coordinates made it regain its senses. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Nov 17 [7:11:40]
