MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Nov 25

Instrument: Echelle CCD Direct

Worked for 5.5 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from now until then.
   Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

After a completely overcast and  hopeless  afternoon,
the sky cleared miraculously a couple of hours after
sunset.  Worked until 1:30 AM, at which time the sky
quickly became mostly cloudy again.  Watched the
clouds and bright moon for an hour more, then gave up.

After the replacement of the RA drive motor and preload
adjustment today, had no further problems with tracking.
