MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Sep 05 Observer(s): Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: CCDS Worked for 5 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: It cleared off at midnight (just like a monsoon should) and I worked until twilight. Clouds were coming and going but the sky stayed mostly clear. Finished up at 5:05 am with my last exposure taken under mostly clear skies. Closed up everthing by 5:20 and re-filled the dewar. Clouds were on the increase by 5:15 and at 5:35 am it rained hard for 5 minutes. In observing, timing is everything... ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Sep 6 [6:14:40]
