MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Sep 18

Worked for 8 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 4:00 until end.
   Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, high humidity

Observing Summary:

At beginning of night, telescope pointing was 3 hours off.
Possibly this has to do with the lightning shutdown from
yesterday (17th) late afternoon?
Getting the pointing ok cost some extra time, but since M31
was still at too low airmass anyway, it didn't really cost
observing time.
After that good seeing and no problems. Around 4 humidity and
seeing shot up. Closed for 30 minutes because of humidity. 
Opened up again, but seeing was crap and humidity went up again,
so decided to close at 5am.
