MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Apr 22

Worked for 3 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 11 until 5.
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

I had clouds that cleared shortly before sunset so I was able to take flats.  However, several bands of clouds moved through early in the evening and the wind was fairly high.  It started to get clear at maybe 9:30, but the humidity started rising and forced me to shut a little bit before 11.

When I shut down, only one of the mirror petals would close.  I tried cycling them open and shut, and all of them closed after about 5 tries.
