MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Jan 20 Observer(s): S. Lepine Institution(s): Columbia/AMNH Instrument: MkIII Spectrograph Worked for 4 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Fog from 8PM until 12PM. Beg: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm, High Humidity Observing Summary: Night started up with low clouds + some light fog, and high humidity levels (>90%). Fog and clouds cleared after midnight. At 1AM, humidity dropped below 70%. Dome was opened and observations carried out for about 4 hours. Obtained spectra for a total of 29 high proper motion stars. At 5AM humidity suddently went up again to unsafe levels (85%); dome was then closed for the remainder of the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Jan 21 [6:51:12]
