MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Mar 31 Observer(s): Tavarez Institution(s): U of Michigan Instrument: CCDS 600 l/mm, 2nd order Worked for 10.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Observational program: halpha spectroscopy of nearby, late-type galaxies Problem w/ the mirror covers -- only one would open when the telescope was at zenith. I slewed the telescope to HA: 1 30 00 and again only one cover opened. Then I slewed the telescope over to HA: 3 30 and finally they all opened. Bob can you check this when you get in...
