MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Sep 03 Observer(s): Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: ModSpec Worked for 4 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 11 pm until 5 am. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Night started out mostly clear but seeing wasn't very good. At 10:30 pm LST, the humidity rose pass 85% and stayed there for nearly the rest of the night. Clouds rolled in at midnight to make a murky, high humidity night. (Oh boy, my favorite!) As if it were planned, the sky largely cleared off at 5 am (at astronomical twilight) along with a major drop in humidity. Timing is everything... ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Sep 4 [5:21:34]
