MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Sep 25 Observer(s): Crotts Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Mark III Worked for 5 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from sunse until midni. Beg: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, high humidity Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: 1) The response versus wavelength for the spectra look strange, with a big dip between about 5000 and 6000A. (Is there a filter in the lightpath?) See the plot of the standard star exposure (ccd.065) on chichon. 2) Is there a lightleak, or is the quartz lamp not turning all of the way off? See Neon lamp exposure ccd.068 displayed on chichon. 3) The z key on the chichon keyboard doesn't work. (I can write a z only using a cut-and-paste. I can't do a control-z at all. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Sep 26 [6:23:34]
