MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Sep 29

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

I obtained major axis spectra of 5 galaxies, along with spectra
of assorted template stars. The only problem which I encountered
was that the display monitor in the dome, which usually displays
the information from the TCS computer, only displayed a noise 
pattern. This meant that when rotating to a given PA, I had to 
guess the amount of rotation and then have repeated trips 
between the dome and control room to get the desired rotation 
angle.
