MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Jan 05 Observer(s): Patrick Cseresnjes Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: 8K Camera Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Could not make flats at the beginning of the night because of clouds. The sky then cleared up and the seeing was acceptable for 1-2 hours (~1.4 arcsec.). Data have been taken throughout the whole night in spite of a bad seeing (2-3 arcsec.) starting at ~9 pm. A small problem: at the end of the night, the detcom refused to run any exposure. This has been fixed by switching off/on the power supply of the camera and restarting a new detcom session. The impact on the data collection was minor. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2004 Jan 6 [6:42:03]
