MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Jan 13

Instrument: Modspec + Echelle CCD

Worked for 3 hours (off and on through the night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Overcast, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Variable high cloud, mostly heavy but with one fairly clear
interval in the middle.  Tested a Stanford Photonics 
microchannel-plate intensified CCD camera for use as a guider
camera replacement, and found it to be somewhat disappointing.
It never was clear, but it was clear enough for the test, which
was clear enough in its result.
