MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Jan 14

Instrument: modspec + echelle CCD

Worked for 3 hours (last half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Fog all night.
   Beg: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Calm
   Mid: Clear, Winds Light & Variable, humid
   End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate, RH low enough!

Observing Summary:

Dreadful weather at the start, with high cloud and fog blowing
over the mountain, but later on it cleared with 100 percent 
humidity, and around 3:30 the RH dropped enough to open for 
an hour-and-a-half or so, then it came back up and we had to
close, then it dropped again before dawn.  Amazing we got
anything!
